Preparation. Make sure the vehicle is on a level surface and the tires are properly inflated. If the vehicle has ADAS features, such as lane departure warning or adaptive cruise control, you will need to disable them before starting the alignment.

Wheel alignment. This is the process of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are aligned properly with each other and the road. The alignment angles that are typically adjusted include camber, caster, and toe.

ADAS calibration. This is the process of adjusting the sensors on the vehicle so that they are properly aligned with the road. The sensors that are typically calibrated include cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors.

Post-calibration test drive. After the alignment and ADAS calibration are complete, you should take the vehicle for a test drive to make sure that the vehicle is driving properly.

Here are some additional tips for performing alignment and ADAS calibration:

Use a qualified technician. Alignment and ADAS calibration are complex procedures that should only be performed by a qualified technician.

Use the correct tools. There are specialized tools that are required for performing alignment and ADAS calibration. Make sure you have the correct tools before you start the procedure.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions. The manufacturer's instructions will provide the specific steps that need to be taken to perform alignment and ADAS calibration for your particular vehicle.

By following these steps, you can help to ensure that your vehicle is properly aligned and that the ADAS sensors are properly calibrated. This will help to improve the handling and safety of your vehicle.

Here are some of the specific steps involved in performing alignment and ADAS calibration:

Alignment

Measure the current alignment angles. This can be done using a wheel alignment machine.

Adjust the alignment angles as needed. The specific adjustments that need to be made will depend on the results of the measurement.

Remeasure the alignment angles to verify that they are correct.

ADAS Calibration

Identify the ADAS sensors that need to be calibrated. The specific sensors that need to be calibrated will vary depending on the vehicle.

Connect the vehicle to a diagnostic scan tool. The scan tool will be used to calibrate the ADAS sensors.

Follow the instructions on the scan tool to calibrate the ADAS sensors.

Test drive the vehicle to make sure that the ADAS features are working properly.
