AC Stop LEAK (ALL THE BAD) DO NOT USE!

AC stop leak products are designed to seal minor leaks in a car's air conditioning system, potentially saving money and hassle compared to traditional repairs.

Circulation: AC stop leak is added to the AC system and circulates with the refrigerant.

Sealing: The product reacts with moisture and air at the leak point, forming a seal and preventing further refrigerant loss.

Target areas: It can seal leaks in various components like hoses, fittings, evaporator and condenser coils, compressor seals, and service ports.

Temporary fix: AC stop leak is primarily a temporary solution for small leaks and might not be effective for larger leaks or significant system damage.

Potential damage: If not used correctly or if the leak is too large, AC stop leak can potentially clog the system, leading to further issues and potentially expensive repairs.

Professional opinions: Some mechanics advise AGAINST using AC stop leak due to potential risks to the system and the possibility of damaging their refrigerant recovery equipment (100% true)

System compatibility: Ensure the AC stop leak product is compatible with your vehicle's AC system and refrigerant type.

For a more permanent and reliable solution, especially for larger leaks, consider having a certified AC technician diagnose and repair the issue.

Note: While AC stop leak can be a helpful tool for minor leaks, it's crucial to weigh the pros and cons and consider professional advice if needed.
